It is all carbon steel and the surface of the blade is quenched for a resilient and refined protective black surface. The shear magnitude of this unique blade is incredible, and the quality of the handle and guard is unrivaled. Intended for display purposes but the edge is sharp and the tang is 3/4 length, 7 inches into the handle. It also comes with a leather sheath and strap to carry on your back.
